The White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities will be offering PhD studentships starting in 2025 at Leeds, Sheffield and York, through the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTP2) scheme.

TWO types of studentship will be offered: Open Competition and Collaborative Doctoral Award (CDA). The table below summarises the differences.

Closing deadlines

  • Open Competition is now open. Application dealine is 17:00 on January 22 2025.
  • CDA Project competition is currently closed.

  • Student-led projects
  • Apply for a place of study FIRST
  • Usually an interview with your chosen department
  • Apply to WRoCAH for funding SECOND
