Prospective Students

The White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities will be offering PhD studentships starting in October 2024 at Leeds, Sheffield and York, through the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTP2) scheme.

TWO types of studentship will be offered: Open Competition and Collaborative Doctoral Award (CDA). The table below summarises the differences.

Closing deadlines

  • Open Competition closed on Wednesday 24th January.
  • CDA Project competition has now closed

WRoCAH AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Awards (CDAs)

  • Student-led projects
  • Apply for a place of study FIRST
  • Usually an interview with your chosen department
  • Apply to WRoCAH for funding SECOND
